It is with great sadness that ECTA announces that Marion Rump died on January 7, 2024 at the age of 66.
Marion was known to many dancers and leader colleagues because of her warm nature.
Her joy in dance and dealing with people was obviously a great motivation for Marion. Square dancing and contra were her greatest passion. She was a long-time member of ECTA. With her personal and winning manner, she quickly captivated the people she spoke to. A few weeks ago, I met her at a caller school. Despite her health limitations, she radiated an energy that impressed and infected everyone.
The Happy Squares and of course her Lucky Stars were particularly close to her heart.
Our thoughts go out to her family at this difficult time.
